Susanne Hoss grew up in Berlin, Germany. She studied acting at the Hans Otto Drama College in Leipzig. Her first professional theater work came at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden. She was later hired as an actress-in-residence by Schauspielhaus Erfurt and the Staatstheater Saarbrucken. Her roles in classical plays include Mascha in Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters"; Kunigunde in Heinrich von Kleist's "Kathchen of Heilbronn"; and Portia in William Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice." She received an actor award for her performance as Ginevra in the monumental drama, "Merlin or The Waste Land," by Tankred Dorst, and also played leading roles in musicals such as "Little Shop of Horrors," "The Rocky Horror Show," "Cyrano de Bergerac" and "City of Angels." In recent years she has been working as an actress on German television.
