Matto Kämpf (Switzerland)
born in 1970 in Thun, lives as
writer and theatre director and producer in Berne. Since 2009 permanent collaboration as a playwrite
with free ensemble „Weltalm“. His plays
„Familie Siegenthaler I-IV“ (2009-2013), „Hans im Glück“ (2011), „Das doppelte
Lottchen“ (2013)) were performed at Schlachthaus Theater Bern, Theaterspektakel
Zürich, Dschungel Wien and at Theater Rampe / Stuttgart. 2004-2005 Matto Kämpf participated at the Zurich
writers competition DramenProzessor and won the
Prix Trouvaille of culture comission of Kanton Berne (2007) he also got
a grant from city of Berne to live and study
in Varanasi, India (2008). Matto Kämpf is member of the ensemble „Die Gebirgspoeten“ and collaborates with the
writers Raphael Urweider and Pedro Lenz.
In 2013 he received a grant for a one year resident ship in London by the foundation
Landis and Gyr.
